Spring Knit/Crochet Camp
A fun, outside-the-box learning experience.
Create a functional gauge swatch, and concentrate on measurements and schematics and yarn characteristics and interchangeability to design a basic vest that fits exactly how you want. Because how many sweaters have you knit that just didn't fit like the pattern picture? Any variation in gauge, ease, yarn and measurements from the written pattern is most likely why. Once you knit a vest that fits, the second, third. . . tenth time, it gets easier, and as your confidence builds you can start adding cables, color, and many more stitch patterns to create your own designer vests.
